This exhibition will explore a curiosity between the body, salt, salinity, and place. The politics of the body, and the politics of place, particularly natural environments. The body and salt share an intricate relationship.
For this special project, the exhibition opening will be a salt-themed gallery dinner, with public symposium.
Salt is most often seen in its ubiquitous white granule form, and this exhibition and launch event asks us to think a little deeper on the power, potency and politicisation of ‘the only rock we eat’.
Exhibition features contemporary dance video, installation, photography and live art.
